Background: Steve first became a certified Fire Service Instructor in Alaska in the 1970's, and has been an active instructor ever since. In Oregon, he was a statewide trainer for the Office of State Fire Marshal, primarily instructing 'Instructor 1 & 2' courses, 'Training Program Management', 'Fire Investigation' among others. As a full-time and part-time instructor for Chemeketa Community College, he focused on 'Laws Affecting Firefighters', and FirePrevention/Codes related topics, He conducted weekend courses for Apparatus Operator and Live Fire Training. He has also been a National Fire Academy Instructor for their Training Program Management Courses. Steve is currently certified as an Instructor 3 in Oregon and offers many DPSST approved courses. [He is also a recognized instructor for Arizona and may offer limited courses in Arizona].
